Sasha's work uses a strong narrative to evoke memories and emotions in the viewer. By using domestic settings and familiar family figures it is easy to become associated with the unfolding drama within.
The paintings explore our awkwardness as people to inter react with one another. Their quietness and unsettling undercurrent are open to many interpretations and deal with the complex emotions that inhabit us all. |
